SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, has had a major impact on human health globally; infecting a large number of people; causing severe disease and associated long-term health sequelae; resulting in death and excess mortality, especially among older and vulnerable populations; interrupting routine healthcare services; disrupting routine healthcare services; disruptions to travel, trade, education and many other societal functions; and having a negative impact on peoples physical and mental health.
Genetic variants of SARS-CoV-2 have been emerging and circulating around the world throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
For detection and identification of variants from UK, Brazil, South Africa and India, Foregene’s scientists have developed the new detection kits for them.
This kit uses Real-time RT PCR technology (rRT-PCR) for qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 and identification variant lineages nucleic acids in human nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swab samples, such as SARS-CoV-2 B.1.1.7 lineage (UK), B.1.351 lineage (ZA), B.1.617 lineage (IND) and P.1 lineage (BR).
Now these series kits have been welcomed by Morocco test centers ,looking forward to cooperating with more new distributors from all over the world.
SARS-CoV-2 variant lineages and mutant sites
Prior to that, Foregene developes the ‘SARS-CoV-2 Nucleic acid detection kit(Multiplex PCR Fluorescent Probe Method)’in just 3 days since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. And they have been exported to more than 10 countries around the world, including France, Spain, Brazil, Indonesia, etc.
