Main content: Effective treatment of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is hindered by the penetration of the blood-brain barrier and the non-selective distribution of drugs in the brain. In addition, the pathological mechanisms of AD are complex and involve dysfunction of multiple pathways, limiting the efficacy of single therapeutic agents. This article designs a DGL-based siRNA and D-peptide (Dp)-loaded nanoparticles, which can target and penetrate the blood-brain barrier, enter the brain parenchyma, and further accumulate at AD lesions, improving the efficiency of drug entry into the brain , improve cognitive dysfunction and neuronal damage caused by AD. Read more

Main content: The hypoxic microenvironment of solid tumors is an important inducement for cancer metastasis. Therefore, improving the hypoxia at the tumor site is an effective method to inhibit tumor metastasis. Compared with directly killing tumor cells, remodeling the tumor microenvironment can inhibit the occurrence and development of tumors from multiple aspects, which is a highly potential therapeutic method. This study designed a carrier that has the ability of autonomous movement and can continuously generate oxygen deep in the tumor. At the same time, for the first time, a combined strategy of improving hypoxia and inhibiting glycolysis was proposed to comprehensively reverse the tumor microenvironment and achieve the effect of inhibiting breast cancer metastasis. Main content: The abscisic acid (ABA) signaling pathway is involved in plant responses to drought and salt stress. Although the ABA signaling pathway has been elucidated in Arabidopsis, it remains undiscovered in woody poplar. In this study, genome-wide analysis of poplar U-box genes showed that the U-box E3 ubiquitin ligase gene PalPUB79 was significantly induced after drought, salinity and ABA signaling. The results showed that PalPUB79 positively regulates the ABA signaling pathway, providing new insights into the mechanism by which PalPUB79 enhances ABA-mediated stress responses in woody poplar. Read more
